Named for the Chevron head office roundabout — expat-heavy, business-hotel territory, and the anchor for the Lekki Conservation Centre. Chevron is a shorthand for the stretch of expressway around the Chevron Nigeria headquarters at the Chevron roundabout. Because oil-company staff have lived here for decades, it's got the most established expat infrastructure — international restaurants, gyms, medical clinics — of anywhere east of Phase 1. It's not sexy, but it works.This suits business travellers, family visitors coming to see relatives at Chevron or nearby estates, and people who want reliable Western-style food within a 5-minute drive. It does not suit party-focused tourists — the bars close early, and the neighbourhood empties out after 10pm. Hotels run $70-$140 for business-grade with generators and hot water. Skip anything advertised as 'near Chevron' that's actually two exits down the expressway.

Are Chevron hotels good for solo female travellers?

Generally yes — this is one of the more established, less rowdy areas in Lekki. Business hotels have proper security, and the expat restaurant scene means dining alone in the evening feels normal. Still take standard precautions with rides and avoid the expressway service road at night.

How close is Chevron to Lekki nightlife?

10-20 minutes to Phase 1 by car depending on traffic, or 5-10 minutes to Ikate. On Fridays after 6pm add 15-20 minutes. Book your return ride in advance — post-midnight, ride apps in Chevron can take 15+ minutes to find a driver.
