Between VI and Lekki Phase 1 — Landmark Beach, Palms Mall, big weekend lounges, and one of the best mid-luxury bases in Lagos. Oniru is technically its own district but functionally the connective tissue between Victoria Island and Lekki Phase 1. It has Landmark Beach on its southern edge — the most polished beach experience in the city — plus the Palms Mall, several major event venues, and a growing cluster of upmarket hotels along Water Corporation Drive.This suits mid-luxury tourists who want the best of both VI and Lekki without committing to either, weekend event-goers coming for concerts at Landmark, and anyone who values beach access without going all the way east. It does not suit budget travellers — Oniru is priced for the crowd that can afford Landmark Beach entry every day. Rooms run $85-$220 for good mid-range, $250-$450 for premium beachfront.

Is Landmark Beach worth the entry fee?

Yes — it's the closest thing to a proper beach club experience in Lagos, with clean sand, real loungers, working showers, and reliable food and drink. $10-$15 gets you a full day. Compare to Elegushi where you pay less but get chaos, and Landmark starts to look like great value.

How does Oniru compare to Lekki Phase 1?

Slightly more polished, slightly more expensive, and with better direct beach access. Phase 1 has more variety of bars and restaurants; Oniru has fewer options but higher average quality. For a first Lagos trip focused on comfort I’d pick Oniru; for a wilder second visit, Phase 1.
