Atican Beach Resort is a mid-market community-run beach just past Abraham Adesanya roundabout in Ajah, only 20 minutes east of Lekki Phase 1. It's cleaner than most public beaches, cheaper than Landmark, and popular with Lagos families, church groups and small work parties. Gazebos with plastic chairs, grilled fish stalls, horse rides and a fenced children's area line the sand.
The vibe is picnic-and-relax rather than club-on-sand. Weekends bring local Afrobeats DJs at some of the bars, but it never gets Elegushi-loud. Swim only where staff have marked it safe — the Atlantic here still has a strong pull. Pay the gate fee, walk in, negotiate a gazebo (about $10-15 for the day) and settle in. There's an ATM at the entrance that sometimes works; bring cash to be safe.
