Lekki Phase 1
The tourist heart. Admiralty Way and Freedom Way are lined with restaurants, bars, shortlets and hotels like Best Western, Marriott Executive and Radisson (from $150 a night). This is where you want to be for a short trip: everything walkable, the Ikoyi bridge is 5 minutes away, and Ubers to VI clubs are $3. Downside: it is the priciest zone.
Ikate and Lekki Right
Just past the toll gate, Ikate has newer serviced apartments and shortlets at $70-$120 a night. Fola Osibo and Ologolo have good buka lunches and quieter streets. Good pick for a week-long stay or families who want a kitchen. Ubers to Phase 1 nightlife are 10 minutes and $4.
Chevron Drive and Agungi
Further east, Chevron Drive is expat-heavy with gated estates and mid-range guesthouses from $50 a night. Good roads, generators run reliably, and there is Ebeano supermarket for groceries. Traffic to Phase 1 in rush hour is brutal (up to an hour); best if you have a driver or plan to work remotely most of the day.
Victoria Island (right next door)
Technically not Lekki, but Ozumba Mbadiwe and Ahmadu Bello are 10 minutes from Phase 1 and put you near Eko Hotel, Radisson Blu Anchorage and the clubs on Adeola Odeku. Hotels here run $150-$400. Pick VI if you want top-end business hotels; pick Lekki Phase 1 if you want beach and neighbourhood feel.
