Nike Art Gallery
Five floors, 8,000 artworks, one of the biggest private galleries in West Africa, and it is completely free. On Elegushi Road in Lekki Phase 1, open 9am to 6pm daily. Free guided tours run when you arrive; tip $5-$10 if you enjoyed it. Allow 90 minutes. It is a real museum-quality collection, not a souvenir stop.
Walk the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge
The bridge is 1.4km with a wide pedestrian lane. Best at sunset (5:30-6:30pm) when the light hits the lagoon and the Ikoyi skyline. Free to walk. Combine with a walk through Ikoyi to Muri Okunola Park in VI for another free green space with benches, joggers and food carts.
Beach walks
The public stretch of Elegushi Beach has a $5 gate fee, but Landmark Beach lets you walk in during weekday mornings for free if you buy a coffee at the entry cafe. The stretch of coast east of Landmark is unmanaged and free to walk end to end. Wear closed shoes; the sand carries broken shells.
Freedom Way people-watching
Saturday nights on Freedom Way is street theatre: influencers doing photo shoots, valets parking G-Wagons, vendors selling gele wraps, sound systems booming out of every bar. Grab a $2 puff puff from a hawker, find a bench outside Cocoon, and watch Lagos happen. Free and unforgettable.
