Sky Restaurant, Eko Hotel
The 18th-floor rooftop of Eko Hotel on Adetokunbo Ademola in VI. Cocktails $12-$18, small plates $15-$25, no cover but a minimum spend at peak times. Arrive by 5:45pm to get an outside table before the sun drops. This is the single best sunset seat in Lagos: lagoon, Ikoyi skyline, the bridge lit up as it turns dark. Dress smart-casual.
Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge
Free, no reservation, no drinks minimum. Walk the pedestrian lane from Admiralty Way onto the bridge and stop halfway. Sun sets over the lagoon behind the Ikoyi tower line. Peak is 5:45-6:30pm. Weekends see joggers and photo shoots; go on a weekday for calm.
Landmark Beach
$5 gate fee, cold Star lager at the beach bar $3. Beach loungers face west, so the sun sets over the Atlantic with a red-and-orange sky. Grab suya from the beach grill for $4 and stay for the fire show on weekends. Family-friendly and a good pick if you want sand under your feet, not a bar chair.
Bature Brewery rooftop
On Younis Bashorun Street in VI, Bature has a rooftop garden that catches the last light. Craft pours at $6, no cover, casual dress. Go for the 6pm hour, stay for the 8pm DJ. Not the highest view but the vibe is the best of any sunset spot in the city.
