Why this matters more than you think
Street parking anywhere on Admiralty Way, in Ikate, or around Circle Mall is a nightmare of touts and clamps. On-site secure parking should be non-negotiable if you’re driving in. Almost every mid-tier hotel in Lekki technically has parking, but only about half of it is genuinely off-street with a gate and a guard. Ask specifically before booking whether the car park is inside the perimeter and staffed overnight.
The reliably parked
Best Western Plus Elomaz in Agungi, De Santos Hotel off Admiralty Way, and Signature Suites in Chevron all have fenced compounds with 24-hour security, from $110 to $180. On the higher end, Radisson Blu Anchorage and The George have valet and CCTV lots. For under $100, Ostra Hotel and Casadel Suites in Ikate manage proper gated parking too — a rarity at that price.
Where parking gets messy
Anything on the Lekki-Epe Expressway service lane is exposed to traffic and touts even if the hotel says otherwise. Boutique hotels in old residential streets often park you on the road with a guard, which is fine at 10pm and terrible at 2am. If you’re renting a car and moving on to Ibadan or Abuja, prioritise a gated compound over a nicer room every time. Losing a wing mirror costs more than the room upgrade.

Do I actually need a car in Lekki?+
Only if you’re staying more than a week or heading out to Ibeju-Lekki and Epe repeatedly. For a short trip, Bolt and inDrive are cheaper than hiring, and the traffic will destroy any driving pleasure anyway.
Is hotel parking really free?+
At most Lekki hotels yes, if you’re a room guest. Day guests using pools or restaurants sometimes pay $2 to $5. Valet tipping runs around $1 to $2 per movement, not obligatory but expected.
