Day 1: nature and beach
9am at Lekki Conservation Centre. The canopy walk is the hit — kids over 6 love it, under 6 might get scared halfway. The ground trails with the monkeys and koi pond are the fallback. Bathrooms are basic but functional. 12pm lunch at Bungalow in Phase 1 — has a proper kids menu and outdoor space.
3pm at Landmark Beach Resort. Entry is around ₦5,000 adults, less for kids. There's a playground, shallow beach access, and food stalls. Stay until 6pm. This is the single best afternoon for kids in Lekki — safer than Elegushi, cleaner than Eleko.
Day 2: play and water
9am at Hangout Lekki or Upbeat Recreation Centre in Lekki Phase 1. Upbeat is a trampoline park plus climbing walls, ideal for 6-12 year olds and about ₦5,000-₦7,000 for a session. 12pm lunch at RSVP — has high chairs and a decent kids menu.
3pm at Fun Factory at Circle Mall or the swimming pool at your hotel if it has one. 6pm early dinner at Cactus in Chevron — the shawarma is a universal kid pleaser and the space is loud enough that no one will notice your child.
Where to sleep with kids
Radisson Blu Lekki is the answer for most families — pool, kids meals, safe grounds, and staff who don’t sigh when a stroller rolls in. Best Western Plus Elomaz is the mid-range pick. Serviced apartments like Ferndale work well for longer stays because you can cook. Avoid boutique hotels marketed at couples — they’re technically fine but you’ll feel unwelcome by day two.

Are the beaches safe for kids to swim?+
Landmark and La Campagne have sheltered swim areas. Elegushi and Eleko have rip currents — wading only, no swimming, and never without an adult in the water with them.
What about mosquitoes and malaria?+
Real concern. Bring repellent with DEET, dress kids in long sleeves at dusk, and confirm your hotel room has functioning window screens or AC. Talk to your GP about anti-malarials before you fly.
