The top tier: resort-style pools
Lakowe Lakes Golf Resort out toward Ibeju-Lekki has the biggest and cleanest pool I have swum in on the peninsula, wrapped around fake-lake villas from about $280 a night. Closer in, The Wheatbaker in Ikoyi (technically a bridge away) and Radisson Blu Anchorage on Victoria Island both charge around $260 to $320 and keep their pools open until 10pm. If you want a full pool-and-lounger day without leaving Lekki proper, look at Landmark Hotel next to the beach — small pool, huge scene.
Mid-range with real pools, not decorative puddles
Between $120 and $180 the winners are The George in Ikoyi, Bolton White Apartments in Ikate, and De Santos Hotel off Admiralty Way. All three have pools you can actually do laps in and don’t charge day guests. Skip anything advertising a pool under $80 in Lekki Phase 1 — nine times out of ten it's a splash tank on the roof with green tiles and no shade. Ask the front desk to send a photo taken today before booking.
Rooftop and boutique picks
For a rooftop with a view rather than a swim, Maison Fahrenheit in Victoria Island and The Rockview Apartments in Lekki Phase 1 both do sunset pool bars from about $90 to $140. These are dip-and-drink pools, not swim pools — bring the swimsuit anyway, the DJs on Fridays make it worth the effort. Kuramo Waters, when it's actually operating, is the wildcard: beachfront pool, spotty service, cheap when it's open.

Yes at most mid and upper-tier spots for a day pass of $15 to $40, usually redeemable against food and drink. Landmark, Radisson Blu and Lakowe all sell day passes; call ahead on weekends because they cap numbers.
Are the pools heated?+
No, and they do not need to be. Lekki water temperature sits at 26 to 29C year-round. The only pool I’ve found uncomfortably cold was at Lakowe in a January harmattan morning before 9am.
