Overrated
Quilox on a Saturday — you’ll pay $600 for a table to sit five metres from people you’d rather not see. Go to Vellvett or Cubana instead, or the smaller Escape rooftop. The Elegushi Beach horse ride — $10 for five sad minutes on an unhappy animal. Nike Art Gallery — 8,000 works spread thin, worth 45 minutes not the 3 hours everyone claims. Landmark on weekends unless you love a full-body crowd. The Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge photo walk — cars will not stop, the view isn’t that much.
Underrated
Lufasi Nature Park in Ibeju-Lekki — genuine forest, birds, entry $5, empty on weekdays. Terra Kulture on a Wednesday jazz night — better dinner and vibe than most $60 restaurants for $25. The morning ferry from Ikoyi to Falomo — $2, gorgeous, faster than driving. Bature Brewery Sunday afternoons — genuinely nice hang, no ticket needed. A Bolt drive up to Epe fish market on a Saturday morning, jollof by the water, back by 3pm — the best cheap day in Lekki.
The single best day I know
10am boat from Falomo jetty to Tarkwa Bay ($15 shared), morning on the sand with grilled fish and a $3 drink, back by 3pm. Shower and change at your hotel, dinner at Nok by Alara ($60 with drinks) at 7.30pm, then a nightcap at Sip Wine Bar in Lekki Phase 1 ($15 cocktails). Total spend about $110 to $140. It hits beach, boat, art, food and cocktails in twelve hours — the exact Lekki you came for.

Is the Lekki Arts and Crafts Market worth it?+
Yes for an hour if you want to shop; skip if you don’t. Prices start at 3x local — bargain hard, walk away, come back. Best buys: aso-oke fabric, wood carvings, adire cloth. Skip generic 'African masks' which are made in bulk.
What's the most overrated food?+
Hotel jollof and hotel suya — hotels can’t make either properly. Go street-side. The single most disappointing meal in Lekki is a $40 room-service dinner; get out and eat where a queue forms.
