Saturday: Phase 1 and the lagoon
9am breakfast at RSVP or Bungalow in Phase 1. 10:30am at Lekki Conservation Centre for the canopy walk. 1pm lunch at Talindo Steak House — the ribeye is honest and the AC is cold. 3pm crossing the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge on foot for the view (do this on the pedestrian side, not the vehicle lane). 5pm at Nike Art Gallery in Ikate: five floors, free entry, plan 90 minutes.
Dinner at 8pm at Shiro on Landmark Village, then a lagoon-side drink at Hard Rock Cafe on Kuramo Beach. Bed by midnight — tomorrow is longer than it looks.
Sunday: out to Ibeju-Lekki
Leave by 8am to beat the church traffic on the expressway. Head to La Campagne Tropicana in Ibeju-Lekki (about 90 minutes with clear roads, 2.5 hours without). Day-use passes hover around ₦15,000 and include the beach, camel rides and lunch. Alternatively stop at Eleko Beach — cheaper, rougher, still beautiful.
Head back by 4pm and stop at Lakowe Lakes if you play golf, or Novare Lekki Mall for a supermarket run and cold air. Dinner in Chevron at Cactus for the shawarma or Sky Restaurant at Eko Hotel if you crossed back to VI.
Where to sleep both nights
Base yourself once, in Lekki Phase 1. Moving hotels for a two-night trip in Lagos traffic is a self-inflicted wound. Radisson Blu Lekki is the reliable four-star pick with a pool. For serviced apartments, Ferndale or Landmark Suites work well for two adults. Budget travellers should look at Bluebell or Cavier Suites — clean, ₦40,000-₦60,000 a night, breakfast included.

Can I do Ibeju-Lekki as a day trip from VI?+
Yes but reluctantly. From VI you’re adding 45-60 minutes each way versus starting in Lekki Phase 1. If Ibeju-Lekki matters to you, sleep in Lekki.
Which day should I do the beach?+
Sunday. Saturdays at Elegushi and even La Campagne are noisier and more crowded — Sunday mornings are the calmest window of the whole week.
