Why this matters more than the star rating
Every hotel in Lekki claims 24/7 power. About a third actually deliver it. The rest have gaps of 5-30 seconds when the grid drops and the generator kicks in, which is enough to reboot your router, drop your call, and reset the AC. The hotels that get this right run a UPS bridge between grid and generator, or two generators in rotation. Ask specifically: 'Do you have a UPS between grid and gen?' If reception doesn’t understand the question, assume no.
The other issue is fuel. Diesel prices have made some smaller hotels ration generator hours, especially between 2am and 5am. Confirm the AC will run all night, not just until midnight. A ceiling fan is not a backup in April.
Genuinely reliable options
Radisson Blu, Eko Hotel, the Wheatbaker and Lakowe Lakes all run seamless UPS-bridged power. Lopez Hotel in Lekki Phase 1 is the strongest mid-range option, with two generators and a battery bank. The Vine on Admiralty Way is reliable but the generator sits close to the rear rooms — ask for a room on the Admiralty-facing side. Maison Fahrenheit in VI is small but rock-solid.
For long stays and remote work, Bature Brewery's boutique rooms and the George in Ikoyi both hold up. Anywhere under ₦60,000 a night on the peninsula, verify power in the reviews from the last 60 days specifically, not older ones — hotels change fuel policies quarterly and reviews from 2024 are already out of date.

Lakowe Lakes has significant solar backing its estate. A few boutique guesthouses in Ibeju-Lekki are fully solar-and-inverter but capacity is limited — expect AC only in bedrooms.
