For Elegushi and Oniru (in-town beaches)
Radisson Blu Anchorage, Eko Hotel and Maison Fahrenheit are all under 15 minutes from Elegushi and Oniru beaches without traffic. None of them are 'beachfront' in the way marketing implies — you drive or walk 10 minutes and pay the beach entry fee (₦2,000-₦5,000) separately. Blowfish Hotel in VI is closest to Oniru but the beach itself has been eroded significantly and much of it is now private club access only.
If you want to walk straight from your lobby onto sand within Lagos city limits, that hotel doesn’t really exist anymore — the seawall project changed the coastline. What you want is a hotel that arranges beach club drop-off and pickup, which every hotel here does for ₦8,000-₦12,000 round trip.
For Eleko, La Campagne and the quiet beaches
La Campagne Tropicana in Ibeju-Lekki is a beach resort with rooms — the beach is 200 metres from the huts, and it's the only genuine beachfront stay in the region. Book the deluxe huts, not the standard ones, which are dated. Ijegun Imedu Beach Resort near Eleko is smaller, cheaper (₦45,000-₦70,000) and has actual beachfront access with a walkable coconut grove.
Lakowe Lakes is inland but shuttles guests to a partner beach at Eleko for a day fee. If you want a proper beach weekend, La Campagne wins on facilities and Ijegun wins on price. Both are 60-90 minutes from Lekki Phase 1, so plan on staying two nights minimum — day trips waste the drive.

No. The residential beach frontage is private, and hotel-owned beach access in Phase 1 doesn’t exist. The nearest genuine beachfront stays are 45+ minutes east.
Is it safe to walk to Elegushi Beach from Lekki Phase 1 hotels?+
Walkable in daylight from hotels near Freedom Way, but most guests take a hotel car. Return trips after dark should always be by hotel car or booked ride.
