The clear winners
Lakowe Lakes Golf Resort is the family pick if you can stretch to $280 a night — kids' pool, big lawns, bikes, and it's a full 40-minute drive from the Lekki noise. Inagbe Grand Resort is the other easy call: boat ride over, then playgrounds, ATV rides and swimming, from $180 with kids under 12 usually free. Radisson Blu Anchorage on Victoria Island earns a spot for the family suites and reliable kids' menu, around $310.
Mid-range and apartment-style
Families do better in apartments than hotel rooms in Lekki. Bolton White Apartments in Ikate and The Rockview in Lekki Phase 1 both offer two-bedroom units with kitchens from $150 to $220. Fraser Suites in Ikoyi is the top-end serviced apartment, from $260, with a proper kids' pool. Skip anything calling itself a boutique hotel — the rooms are small and thin-walled and you will hear the lobby music at 1am.
Things to check before you book
Ask specifically about a generator and inverter — Lekki loses grid power daily and a cheap hotel's generator dies at 2am. Ask if breakfast is included and whether it covers kids. Ask about the pool depth. Ask about the cot: many hotels charge $15 to $25 extra for one, and half don’t actually have any. Two nights in the wrong place with a toddler will cost you more than one night at Lakowe.

Do Lekki hotels have kids' clubs?+
Only the resort-style properties: Lakowe, Inagbe, La Campagne Tropicana. City hotels rarely do. If you need childcare, most family hotels can arrange a nanny for $25 to $40 a day with 24 hours' notice.
Are Lekki beaches safe for children?+
Elegushi and Landmark are fine for paddling in the shallows with an adult holding hands. The undertow is real — no swimming out past the waist. Hotel pools are the safer bet for actual swimming with kids.
